About the Role

As a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer at OffSeq, you’ll play a valuable supporting role in our security development team while gaining hands-on experience in the cybersecurity field. This part-time position is ideal for individuals pursuing cybersecurity education or certifications who want to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

You’ll work alongside experienced security professionals, helping to implement security controls, conduct basic vulnerability assessments, and assist with security monitoring tasks. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build practical skills while contributing to meaningful security projects.

The position offers flexible hours (20-25 hours per week) that can accommodate educational commitments, with potential for growth into a full-time role as your expertise develops.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
  • Basic understanding of network security principles and common vulnerabilities
  • Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Python preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic security tools and practices
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and develop cybersecurity skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently when needed
